Located in a new urban development in downtown Charlotte, Gold’s Gym – Epicenter is a balance of high design and the expression of existing building elements. The two-story, 28,414 square foot club is highly visible from the rest of the Epicenter development. Fabiano Designs used the energy of the area to create a vibrant and modern space to motivate and engage its members. The flow and layout of the space is greatly influenced by the large expanses of glass, but also cognizant of the needs for different levels of experiences and exposure. This club strives to elevate the Gold’s Gym brand and is successful in doing so on every level.
This location has 20,000 sf of cycling, cardio, aerobics, male & female lockers/toilets (including steam/sauna/ice rooms in each), 8 tanning rooms, and a generous lounge/check in/ juice bar. By removing a full bay of the concrete structure, a monumental stair connects this level to the 4th floor, for the remaining 10,000 sf. This level has a cardio cinema, Pilates/yoga room, free weights, and the main office with a large conference room.
